Media Credential Program

Welcome to the Media Credential Program for the
2024 Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship.

This program is designed to meet your media credential needs in a convenient and timely manner.

A Media Credential for the 2024 AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship is essentially an Infield Pass, which provides access to a restricted area of the racetrack. This is a privilege and any rules violated will result in immediate removal of your credential.

Media Credentials will be split into Accredited and Commercial Media Outlets. Individuals with a Commercial Media Outlet will have to purchase a vehicle and/or camping pass for the week. Both Accredited and Commercial Outlets bringing an RV or Camper will need to purchase a Camping Pass for the week. New for 2024, Approved Media Outlets may be limited to Two (2) Media Credentials.

Applications must be submitted no later than Monday, July 15. Approved credentials will be available for pick up at the MX Sports Welcome Center Friday, July 26 beginning at 8 a.m. Please bring a valid form of identification to pick up your pass and your pass and provided vest/bib must be worn at all times.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Approval: Media credentials are approved on a case-by-case basis in the sole discretion of MX Sports ("MXS"). MXS may approve or deny media access at any time, for any or no reason, including inappropriate behavior or violation of event rules.

Freelance reporters, photographers and videographers must be on assignment from an accredited / commercial media outlet/publication. The included assignment letter must declare this. Individual social pages, websites, or accounts managed and/or owned by freelancers that are designed for profit do not classify as a media organization.

Appropriate Attire: Media are required to dress appropriately. Shirts, pants or shorts and shoes must be worn at all times; sandals and crocs are prohibited. Inappropriately dressed media may be required to remedy the situation or face credential revocation. Media members must wear their assigned media pass and bib while on track at all times. You may not cover your assigned media number on your media pass or bib at any time.

Event Rules: Media members must observe all event guidelines and regulations. If unsure, please seek information from either the Media Manager, Kayla Bolton, Marketing Manager, Derek Garcia, or on-site security personnel. Do not begin work as a media member unless you understand the event rules and regulations.

Race Results: Pre- and post-race press releases and race results are disseminated on a regular basis to media outlets and publications. Please contact the MXS Media Manager if you wish to be added to the distribution list.

Proper Use: Credentials must be clearly displayed at all times during events and only by the individual to whom it was issued. Presentation of a credential signifies to security that the bearer has signed the required release forms and meets the qualifications for entrance into restricted areas. Unauthorized or improper use of a credential is prohibited. Credentials are non-transferable and will be revoked if used by any other person.

Replacement: If your credential is lost, stolen or damaged, contact MXS immediately.

Individuals with a Commercial Media Outlet will have to purchase a vehicle and/or camping pass for the week. Both Accredited and Commercial Outlets bringing an RV or Camper will need to purchase a Camping Pass for the week.

PHOTO/VIDEO RESTRICTIONS

Photo Credential Access: Photographers will be required to wear a Media Pass and Media Bib at all times and must keep a safe distance from the race course, or relocate as instructed by officials.

Photographs: All photos taken are the property of MXS. Websites may upload still images from any Event; however, these images may not be used for any commercial or retail purposes without the express written consent of MXS and the athlete(s) depicted.

Video: The filming rights to the racing events, the facilities and the venues are the sole and exclusive property of MX SPORTS. No filming or broadcasting of the racing events, the facilities or the venue (including but not limited to internet, audio webcasting, television, DVD, radio, etc.) is permitted without the express written permission of MX SPORTS. Approval will be limited to editorial/news coverage only. No race coverage will be permitted. A retail sale of race footage is strictly prohibited.

TRACK ACCESS POLICY

Safe Distance: Media track access is limited to those areas where Media can safely capture images without endangering either themselves or event competitors. Accordingly, Media are prohibited from standing in or on the edge of the race track or otherwise interfering with the race and must maintain a safe distance from the designated edge of the track surface at all times.

Start Line: Media are restricted from the area in front of the Start Gate once the Moto Board is displayed. Media are further prohibited from accessing areas directly to the inside or outside of the Start first turn, and once authorized to cross the track in the first turn immediately after the Start, must first ensure that all competitors have successfully left the Start Gate and completed the first turn before crossing the track.

Restricted Areas: Media are prohibited from accessing areas of the track where the course design would place them within areas such as jumps and jump landing zones or where they are unable to continuously see or be seen by oncoming riders.

Drones: For the safety of everyone, unauthorized drones are prohibited and will be confiscated. RacerTV is the only media outlet authorized to fly drones throughout the week. If you have any further questions about drones, please email [email protected]

Interference: Media may not stand in front of or otherwise block any TV camera or sponsor signage. Media are expected at all times to conduct themselves in a safe and professional manner and may not impede in any way the activities of race officials, track workers or TV camera operators.

Outside Assistance: Media are prohibited from signaling, cheering on, or assisting riders from the infield.

Event Rules: Media members must observe all event guidelines and regulations. If unsure, please seek information from the Media Manager or on-site security personnel. Do not begin work as a media member unless you understand the event rules and regulations.
